If you look for D-64 in Panchseel Enclave near Bhopura, that's where the shop is located. It’s a simple setup for a barber. We have the usual chairs and some old magazines for people to look at while they wait their turn. The floor is tile, which makes it easier to clean up after a busy afternoon when the hair piles up. Bhopura is a busy area, so there’s always someone walking past the window or waving as they go by. We’ve known most of the people around here for years. They come in, sit down, and we get to work with the scissors and the clippers. Sometimes someone wants a whole new look, but mostly it’s just the same trim they always get every month. The radio is usually playing something in the background, but not too loud to hear. We keep our tools sharp and clean in the little glass cabinets. It’s not one of those modern places with bright neon lights and loud music. It’s more of a traditional corner shop. When the weather is hot, we keep the door open to get a breeze, even if the dust from the road comes in a bit on the counter. My hands are always busy with the comb and shears. By the time evening comes, my back might ache a little, but it’s good to see the shop full of neighbors. We don’t do appointments much, people just show up when they have time.
