Being in a village means things move a lot slower than in the city. We don't have to deal with traffic jams or loud city noises. Mostly we just hear the birds or the occasional tractor going by. Our office is a simple room in a house. We have our computers and internet connection, which is really all we need to do our work. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a few hours, especially during the monsoon season, so we have to use a backup. It’s a very rural setting for a technology company. Most people in the village don't really understand what we do all day on the computers, but that’s okay. We’ve been here for a while and we like the peace and quiet. We don't have any employees in suits or big meeting rooms. If we need to talk about something, we just sit on the charpai outside or around the main table inside. We grow some vegetables in the back, so sometimes we have fresh food for lunch. It’s a very different way of working compared to the big offices in Noida or Delhi. We just do our best with what we have and keep things moving forward at our own pace.
