Movie World

Movie World is over on Delhi Meerut Road at A-1/1. It’s a big spot and easy to see from the main road. We spend a lot of time looking at the traffic moving toward Meerut. Running a place like this means staying up late and getting here early. There is always something to fix, whether it’s a seat or a lightbulb in the hall. People come here to forget about their day for a couple of hours. We see all kinds of people, from students to old couples. The lobby gets messy with popcorn and wrappers, so we are always sweeping. It’s a loud place, especially on the weekends when everyone is off work. The parking lot can be a bit of a headache when it rains. We have a small crew of guys who handle the tickets and the food counter. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s okay for us. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the road get wider and more crowded over time. The heat in the summer is the worst part, and keeping the cooling running right is a constant battle. We don’t really do much advertising; people just know we are here on the way to the city. We just keep the movies playing and the floors clean. It is a simple business at the end of the day. We just keep things moving along.
