Kissanfarmagro Producer Company Limited is situated on the ground floor of Plot No 10A in Shakti Khand-2. This is right in the middle of Indirapuram, so it is a lot more urban than the farms we actually work with. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to drop in, though it is mostly just us and the delivery guys. The office has that typical city feel, with cars parked outside and people rushing to work. Inside, though, we are always talking about the dirt and the crops. It is a strange mix, looking at the tall buildings of Indirapuram while we manage sacks of seeds or talk about irrigation problems. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of samples lying around and not enough shelves to put them on. We don't bother with expensive furniture or bright lights. We just need enough room for the computer and a place to sit when the day gets long. Most of the time, the air conditioner is humming to keep the heat away from the paperwork. It is an honest operation where we just try to keep the farmers connected to the city markets. We aren't big on speeches. We just want to make sure the numbers add up and the trucks get to where they are going on time.
