Our office is tucked away on the third floor of the Aditya Mega City Mall in Indirapuram. Being in a mall is a bit different from a regular office building, but it works for us since there's always coffee nearby and plenty of places to eat. At Bay20 Software Consultancy, we spend the bulk of our hours staring at computer screens and typing out lines of code. It’s not always glamorous work. Sometimes we are just stuck on a single bug for three or four hours while the mall shoppers walk past outside the main doors. We do software consulting, which basically means people tell us what they want their website or app to do, and we try to build it from scratch. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of people in suits. It’s just a small team of us sitting at our desks in Vaibhav Khand. The air conditioning sometimes struggles in the summer, and the mall can get pretty loud on weekends, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have fancy pitches or polished presentations. We just talk about what’s possible with the code and what isn't. Some days are very long, especially when a project is near the finish line. We’ve had plenty of late nights in this office. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails and trying to figure out why a certain feature isn’t working correctly. We just keep at it until it does what it’s supposed to.
