H. D. Fashions

Living and working around K. K. -14 Kavi Nagar means you get used to the pace of this neighborhood pretty fast. H. D. Fashions is tucked in here, and most days it’s a bit of a squeeze with all the boxes we have stacked up against the walls. We deal with a lot of different clothes, so there’s always something new to unpack or hang up. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is kept even in the dark. My desk is usually buried under a pile of invoices and fabric samples that I keep meaning to sort out. It’s a busy life here in Kavi Nagar. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but you just get used to it after a while. We aren't trying to be some big, glossy brand you see on TV. We’re just here doing our thing, making sure the orders are ready and the racks aren't empty. People stop by and sometimes stay for a chat, which slows things down, but that’s how it goes in a place like this. The iron is almost always running, so there’s a bit of steam in the air most of the time. It makes the place feel warm, maybe a bit too warm in July. We just keep the doors open and hope for a breeze while we fold the next batch of shirts. It is just everyday work for us.
