We’ve been based out of the first floor here at Scindia House for a while now. It’s right by Janpath T Point, so there is always a lot of noise from the street coming up through the windows. Finding the place can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking for Dalmia House specifically, but once you get inside and head up, it's quieter. The office isn't fancy or anything, just a lot of desks and paperwork stacked up. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and going over what needs to be done for the day. Being in the Delhi G P O area means there's always a crowd outside, especially near the post office. Sometimes the lift acts up, so most of us just take the stairs to the first floor. Scindia House has that old building feel, with thick walls and high ceilings. We keep things pretty simple around here, honestly. We don't have a big reception area or shiny signs, just our names on the door. People usually drop by if they're in the neighborhood for errands or meetings at Janpath. It gets really hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. Dealing with the traffic around Scindia House is probably the hardest part of the job. By the time evening rolls around, everyone is ready to head out before the rush gets too bad. It's just a regular workplace where we get on with things without making a fuss.
