Classic Mens Saloon

Our shop is in the basement of One Mart Mall, down at level 45. It is on the Main Road in Vasundhara Sector 6, Ghaziabad. Being in a basement means we don't have windows, but we have good lights so I can see what I am doing. It’s near the Jaipuria Institute, so we get some students coming in between their classes. Classic Mens Saloon is a place where you can get a haircut without spending too much. The mall gets busy on weekends, so those days are a bit of a rush for us. I try to keep the place organized but with a small space, things get moved around a lot. We have the basic chairs and a sink for washing hair. It is not a luxury place, just a regular saloon for guys who live or work around Vasundhara. I’ve been doing this for years and I don't plan on changing much. We use the same kind of combs and scissors I've always used. Sometimes the mall air conditioning is a bit cold, but it’s better than the heat outside. People find us because we are near the entrance to the basement. It is a simple business. We just cut hair and make sure people look decent when they leave. The mall security guys sometimes stop by for a chat when it is quiet down here.
