Apax Saloon

At Apax Saloon on Link Road in Vasundhara, things are pretty straightforward. We are right there at 2C-121, just opposite Mewar. The chairs are usually full on the weekends. We’ve got the usual setup with mirrors, combs, and the sound of clippers running. It’s a Ghaziabad spot where people come to get a quick trim or a shave. We don't do anything too crazy. Just regular cuts for the neighborhood guys. There’s usually a cricket match on the small TV in the corner if we can get the signal right. The floor is almost always covered in hair because we’re constantly moving from one customer to the next. We sweep when it gets too thick. It’s a noisy place with people chatting and the fans humming. We’ve been at this Link Road location for a while now. You get to know the people who live nearby. We hear all the local gossip while we work. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when the waiting bench is full. Sometimes the water heater takes a minute to warm up, but we make it work. We just show up, open the shutters, and start cutting. It’s honest work. The scissors need sharpening more often than you’d think. By the time evening rolls around, our backs are a bit sore, but we finish the last few heads and head home. That's just a typical day for us.
