Our spot is right in the middle of the Marble Market in Mangolpuri Kalan, specifically at Katra No 70 1 1. Being in the marble market means there is always a bit of dust in the air and the sound of stones being moved around outside. It is a very busy place, and it feels like there is always someone loading or unloading a truck nearby. We have been here in Mangolpuri for a long time, so we are used to the noise and the constant movement of people. The office itself is just a simple room where we keep our records and take care of the business side of things. It’s not very fancy, just a few chairs and a table that has seen better days. We don't have any of those big glass windows or shiny floors. It is a place built for working, not for showing off. Most of our day is spent talking to people who are also working in the market or coming in to pick things up. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the slow parts of the afternoon. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much, but we have a small cooler that helps a little bit. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized in the middle of all the market chaos. It’s a tough area but we like being right here.
