This place is located in Inderpuri, specifically at ER-21 on the second floor. Being on the second floor means people have to walk up the stairs, which can be a bit tiring when it’s hot outside. The room is quite small, but it has good light from the windows. We have cushions on the floor where people sit while we work. The smell of henna is always strong here, it stays in your clothes even after you leave. We spend hours leaning over, drawing patterns on hands and feet. It’s quiet work, mostly, unless we have a group of people in for a wedding. Then the whole room gets loud with talking and music. The walls have some photos of designs we’ve done before, just pinned up with tape. We have a small table in the corner where we mix the paste. It’s a simple setup in Inderpuri. We don't have a big waiting room, just a couple of chairs in the hallway. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids run past the door. The floor is tiled and easy to clean when we spill a bit of paste. We've been here for a bit now, and people in the area know us. It’s not a fancy studio, just a place where we do our art every day. We usually stay late during the festival seasons because everyone wants their mehendi done at the same time. We keep some extra water bottles in the corner for the customers.
