Being in a commercial tower means we have a lot of neighbors, mostly other small companies and startups. The first floor is convenient because we don’t have to wait forever for the elevators, which can be a real pain in this building. The office itself is one of those typical partitioned spaces. We have a few cubicles and a main desk where most of the coordination happens. It’s not particularly large, but it suits our needs for now. The carpet is a bit worn in the high-traffic areas, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really cares about that. We’re more concerned with the work on our screens. There’s a water cooler in the corner that makes a weird gulping sound every now and then. We usually go downstairs for lunch since there are plenty of little food stalls around the tower. It’s a busy environment, and there’s always someone coming or going in the hallways outside. We just keep our door shut and stay busy with whatever projects are currently on the table. It’s a solid, functional workspace in a lively part of town.
