Our place is located at C-99 in Sector 65. It’s one of those blocks where everything looks a bit the same, but we’ve made this space our own over the years. We deal with security systems, so there are always wires and cameras lying around on the workbenches. Half the time, someone is testing a sensor and the alarm goes off by mistake, which keeps us awake. The office gets a lot of light in the morning through the front windows, which is nice. We aren't really into the whole fancy office culture. We just have our chairs, our tools, and a fridge that someone needs to clean out. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. We talk about cricket a lot during our breaks. Sector 65 is quite industrial, so there’s always some construction or a truck passing by outside. It gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is around here. We try to keep the workbench clear, but by Wednesday, it’s usually covered in screwdrivers and manuals. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will probably look up from their computer to say hello. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day. There isn't much more to it than that, really. Just a bunch of us working through the week and hoping the traffic isn't too bad when we leave. Sometimes we stay and chat for a while after the shift ends.
