Quality Spares International

Sector-46 is a bit quieter than the main city hubs, but it still has its own rhythm. Our place, Quality Spares International, is located at A-134. It’s a basic building with a lot of shelf space inside. We deal with spare parts, so you can imagine how many small bins and labels we have everywhere. If you need something specific, you usually have to dig through a few rows to find it, though we try to keep it somewhat in order. The guys in the warehouse are the ones who really know where everything is. They spend their whole day moving boxes and checking codes. It’s a lot of standing and walking around on concrete floors, so everyone wears comfortable shoes. We don’t have much in the way of decoration on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a list of phone numbers for the delivery drivers. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building pretty hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a practical way to work. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or glass partitions because they don’t help us move parts any faster. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone and making sure the right box goes to the right truck. It’s a straightforward job, and we’ve been at it long enough that we don’t need to overthink it.
