D-82 in the Hosiery Complex is a bit out of the way for most people, but it is a good spot for running a warehouse. Phase II Extension is still growing, so there is always some kind of construction noise going on nearby. We have a lot of metal racks filled with pneumatic valves and plastic tubes. It is a very grey and blue space, which feels very industrial and practical. We do not have any plants or pretty decorations on the walls. We just have the inventory and the packing stations where we get everything ready for shipping. The guys wear heavy boots and work shirts, and we are always checking the part numbers twice to be safe. Mistakes are a real pain to fix later, so we try our best to avoid them from the start. We have a small break area with a microwave and a tap that leaks a little bit. It is nothing special to look at, but it is where we sit and swap stories during our lunch hour. We do not have a big marketing budget or a sales team in suits. We just rely on the fact that we have the specific parts people are looking for. The forklift is definitely the loudest thing in here, and we use it all day long to move the heavy pallets. It is a straightforward way to make a living and we like the routine.
