Sector-58 is a pretty standard industrial area, and that’s where you’ll find Paras Merchants. Our building at B-40 isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we keep our inventory. We’ve been operating as a private limited company for a while, but it still feels like a small family business when you walk inside. There’s always a stack of pallets near the entrance and the sound of someone tape-gunning a box shut. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to people about orders and shipping dates. It’s the kind of work that never really ends because there’s always another shipment coming in or going out. My office has a window that looks out onto the street, so I watch the trucks go by all day. We keep a pot of tea going in the back room for anyone who needs a break. It gets a bit dusty with all the cardboard and moving parts, but we try to keep the desk areas clean. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the stuff gets where it’s supposed to go without too much trouble. Sometimes we lose a pen or a stapler in the middle of a busy afternoon, and we all have to stop and look for it. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind for us here in the sector.
