Oxford College

Down in Modi Nagar, specifically in the Adarsh Nagar area, you will find our college building. It is not one of those massive campuses you see in brochures; it is a more modest set of buildings that fits right into the neighborhood. We have been part of the landscape here for a while, and the locals are used to seeing students walking through the gates every morning. The classrooms are basic with wooden furniture and windows that look out over the nearby houses and trees. There is a bit of a repeat in the address with Adarsh Nagar being mentioned twice, but that’s just how it’s written down sometimes. The courtyard is where everyone gathers between classes, and it usually has a few bicycles leaned up against the walls. We don't have air conditioning in every room, so we rely on the breeze and the ceiling fans to keep things moving. It feels very much like a community spot where everyone knows everyone else’s name. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of chalk dust and old books. We spend our days making sure the schedules are followed and the rooms are ready. It’s a quiet life in this part of Modi Nagar, and we like the fact that it feels like a regular school rather than a big institution. We just do our work and keep the place running for whoever comes through.
