Ongc

The Ongc spot is over in Sector 39 at C 41 in the Ongc Colony. It is a very residential area so it is much quieter than the industrial parts of Noida. The colony has a lot of trees which makes a big difference during the summer months. We have been here for a good amount of time and we know the layout of these streets pretty well now. It is easy to miss the turn if you are not looking closely at the house numbers. The office is basically a converted space that feels very lived-in. We have some old wooden furniture that has seen better days but it is sturdy enough. There is a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk when we need to clear our heads. The power goes out occasionally but the backup usually kicks in after a minute or two of darkness. It is just one of those things you get used to. We don't really have a reception desk or anything like that. If you come by you just knock and one of us will let you in. It is a simple way of working. Most of our neighbors are retired folks or families so we try not to make too much noise. We usually have some tea in the afternoon while we talk about what needs to be finished before the day ends. The colony gates close at night for security so it always feels very safe here.
