Kalpataru Spices (Pream Saffron)

If you are waiting for a ride at the Singayana Palya Bus Stop on Mahadevapura, you have probably noticed our sign. Kalpataru Spices is right there on the Main Road, right where the traffic starts to pick up toward Whitefield Road. Inside the building, it is a whole different world. It smells like saffron and all the other items we handle every day. We have been at this location for a decent bit of time now. Some people call us Pream Saffron, but it’s all the same to us. It is mostly just a few of us packing things up and checking the quality of what comes through the door. The noise from the road outside never really stops, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. Sometimes people get off the bus and pop in just because they are curious about the smell. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just us making sure the containers are sealed right before they go out. The floor gets a bit of dust on it from the products, no matter how many times we sweep it up during the day. We like the energy of Maheswari Nagar. It is a place where people actually work. We don't do much fancy talking here. If the quality is good, people come back. It is a lot of manual work, weighing and lifting. We just do our best.
