My place is over at 5 Sector 8. It’s a small operation, nothing too big or complicated. I’ve been working with cranes for a long time now, and I decided to just do it on my own a while back. It is mostly just me and a couple of helpers who know what they are doing. We keep a few cranes ready to go at all times because you never know when someone is going to need a lift. Sector 8 is a good place for us, it's quiet enough to work on the machines but close enough to the main roads. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most of our work comes from people who just know us from around the area. It is a dirty job and my clothes are always stained with grease, but I don't mind. I like being outside and working with my hands. When someone calls because their truck is stuck or they have a heavy beam to move, I just head out there myself. I don't have a big corporate office telling me what to do. I just do what needs to be done to get the load moved safely. It is a simple life and a simple business, and that is exactly how I like it. No fuss, just cranes and heavy lifting. We stay busy enough and that is all I really care about at the end of the day.
