Running J S Choudhary Cranes Services out here in Phase-2 means dealing with a lot of heavy metal and grease. Our yard is right opposite the petrol pump in Bhangel, so there is always a line of trucks and cars making noise nearby. We have different types of cranes parked in the lot, and they take up a lot of space. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun is fully up, checking the engines and making sure the cables are okay. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, which gets muddy whenever it rains in Greater Noida. We keep a small office cabin where the desk is covered in logbooks and old keys. It’s not the cleanest place because of the nature of the work, but it gets the job done. My hands are usually stained with oil by noon. We talk to drivers and site managers all day. Sector 82 is a busy area for construction, so there is always something moving. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in registers. The heat in the summer makes the metal cranes almost too hot to touch, but we manage. It is a tough business, but we have been in this spot for a while now and everyone around here knows where to find the crane guys.
