Indian Air Force

This branch of the Indian Air Force is located over in Sector 25, Noida. We are at house number M-68, which is part of a regular residential block. It is a bit different from being on a big base, but it works for what we need to do here. Group Captain Ak Bhatnagar is the one in charge at this particular spot. The street outside is usually quiet during the day, though things pick up in the evening when people get home from work. Inside, we have converted the rooms into workspaces. It has got that lived-in feel, with mismatched chairs and piles of folders on almost every surface. We are not trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. It is purely about getting the daily tasks done. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that is usually where we catch up on news. The dust in Noida can be a bit much, so we are constantly wiping down the desks. It is a very practical environment. We handle a lot of administrative work here that does not require a massive facility. Most of us live nearby or commute from other parts of the NCR. It is a steady routine of paperwork and phone calls. We do not have a big lobby or a receptionist; you just come in and find whoever you are looking for. It feels more like a home-turned-office than a typical government building.
