India Mattress Company

Our place is out at Plot No 77, Ecotech 12. India Mattress Company is basically a warehouse and a small production area combined. It’s a big open space with high ceilings, which is good because we need the room to stack all the materials. Making mattresses involves a lot of foam, fabric, and springs, so there is usually stuff everywhere. It smells like fresh fabric and sometimes glue when we are finishing a batch. We don't have a showroom with fancy lighting. If you come here, you are seeing where the actual work happens. The floors are concrete and can get cold in the winter months. We have a few guys who handle the stitching and the packing. It’s hard work, and we all stay pretty busy from morning until evening. Ecotech 12 is a bit far out, so it’s quieter than the city center, which we like. There aren't many places to eat nearby, so most of us bring our own lunch boxes and sit together during the break. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just make the mattresses and send them out to the shops or people who order them directly. Sometimes the delivery truck gets delayed, and we have to stay late to finish the loading. It’s just the way it goes when you’re running a small factory. We keep things straightforward and don't make a big fuss.
