Independent Consultant

My office is located in the Indian Oil Apartments in Sector 62, Noida. It’s a residential complex, which works out well for me because I don’t like the hassle of traveling to a commercial hub every day. Working as an independent consultant from C 404 means my life and work are pretty closely linked. I spend a lot of time at my computer, usually with some music playing in the background to drown out the noise from the hallway. I’ve lived here for a few years and it just made sense to run my business from home. I don't have any employees. When a project comes in, it's just me doing the research and writing the reports. I try to keep things organized, but sometimes the dining table ends up covered in folders. I don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales team. I just talk to people and see if my skills fit what they need. It’s a very manual process, really. I do the work, I send it off, and I hope they’re satisfied. Sector 62 is a busy part of Noida, so there’s always something happening outside, but inside it’s usually just me and my thoughts. It’s a quiet existence for the most part. I like being my own boss, even if it means I never really stop thinking about work. My routine is pretty set, and I just focus on the day’s tasks one by one.
