Handy Bags

Over at B-80, Sector-10, you’ll find the place where Handy Bags operates. It’s more of a workshop than a fancy office. You can usually hear the sound of machines or people moving heavy rolls of material around. Sector-10 is a bit industrial, so there’s always a truck backing up or someone shouting directions. We make bags of all kinds here. It’s dusty work and by the end of the shift, everyone’s a bit tired. We have a small space where we sit down to have our lunch together. It isn’t glamorous, but we take a bit of pride in seeing a finished pile of bags ready to be sent out. The building itself has seen better days, the paint is peeling in a few spots and the door sticks when it rains, but it stays dry inside. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that, we just focus on the stitching and making sure the handles don’t fall off. Some of the guys have been working here since we opened up. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a lot of repetition, day in and day out, but there’s something nice about a busy shop floor. We just want to make sure the orders are ready on time so we don’t have piles of stock taking up space. It’s just how we run things every day.
