Freelancer

I am based at 11B in Sector 82, Noida. It’s a quiet enough spot where I’ve been doing my freelance work for a few years now. Noida has grown so much, but Sector 82 stays relatively calm, which is good for my concentration. I don’t have a big staff or a decorated lobby. It’s just a room with a table and my laptop. I spend most of my day sitting right here, going through emails and finishing up whatever tasks are on my list for that week. The weather in this part of the country can be pretty extreme. In the summer, the heat is intense, so I try to do most of my heavy thinking early in the morning. I started this because I wanted more control over my time. It’s not always easy being a freelancer since you have to find your own work, but I manage. I’ve got a few regular people I help out. When I’m not working, I’m usually walking over to the local market to pick up some groceries or just to stretch my legs. The 11B address is just a home that doubles as a workspace. It’s nothing special to look at, but it’s where all the work happens. I try to keep things organized, but sometimes my desk ends up a mess by Friday. It’s a very straightforward way of working, and I like the honesty of it. No big corporate talk, just me doing what needs to be done.
