Our workplace is situated in Tower No 4, specifically in flat number B808 at Rudra Sangam. This is out on Allahabad Road in the Andawa area. Being on the eighth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding landscape, which is quite different from being stuck on the ground. We have to take the lift up every morning, and sometimes there is a wait if one of them is being used for moving furniture. Inside, the office is just a converted apartment space, so it has a kitchen area where we keep our water bottles and snacks. The rooms are filled with desks and a lot of tangled cables that we keep meaning to tie up properly. It’s a quiet enough building for the most part, though you can hear the wind whistling a bit when it gets stormy outside. We have a few balconies where we go to stand for a few minutes to clear our heads. The commute out to Andawa can be a bit long depending on where everyone lives, but the road is usually okay. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few notes pinned up. It’s a place where we come to put in our hours and then head home to our families. The atmosphere is relaxed, and we mostly just get on with the tasks we have.
