Klap Pre School

If you're around Sector 117 in Noida, you might have passed by Klap Pre School at Sk 2. It’s one of those places that feels very much a part of the local street. We aren’t a huge school with hundreds of staff. It’s a smaller setup where we focus on the really young kids. The rooms are filled with the kind of stuff you’d expect—lots of bright colors, alphabet posters, and low tables. We spend a lot of time just keeping the children occupied and making sure they’re happy. There’s a lot of hand-washing and making sure everyone has their sweater on when it gets a bit chilly. We don’t follow some secret special method; we just play with them and teach them the basics. The teachers are regular people who have a lot of patience for the daily tantrums and the constant questions. You’ll often find us sitting on the floor with them. It’s not a very formal place. Parents usually drop by for a quick chat when they pick up their children. The building is easy to find, and we try to keep it as welcoming as a normal home would be. It’s a lot of work to keep up with the energy of toddlers, but we’ve been doing it for a while now. We just take it one day at a time, making sure everyone is safe and has a bit of fun.
