C.R. Revanna Gurusiddappa

Our place, C.R. Revanna Gurusiddappa, is located in the Mini Market area of Ganganagar, which is quite close to the Railway Station Road. You can hear the trains passing by throughout the day, and that noise kind of sets the rhythm for how we work. It’s a busy little pocket of the town, and being in the Mini Market means we are surrounded by all sorts of other small shops and street vendors. We have been here for a good amount of time now, and the building itself has definitely seen better days, but it serves its purpose for us. There is a lot of foot traffic from people heading to and from the station, so there is always something interesting to look at out the front window when we take a break. Inside, we keep things very simple. We don't have any fancy decorations or modern furniture; it’s mostly just old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers and paperwork that need sorting. We spend our time managing the day-to-day tasks that come with running a local business like this. Sometimes the morning starts a bit late if the traffic near the station is blocked, but we usually stay until the sun goes down and the market starts to quiet. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we don't mind. It feels right to us.
