Shree Gayatri Khaman House (Thakkar Catrers)

Our business is located right beside the Ahmedabad District Bank in Bhadvat Nagar. We are across from Choksi Park in Isanpur. Many people know us as Thakkar Caterers, but the Khaman house is where a lot of our daily work happens. Being near the bank and the park means there are always people walking by. We start very early in the morning, often before the sun is up, to get the Khaman ready. The steam from the cookers fills the room and we start packing things up for the morning rush. Isanpur is our home base and we have grown up in these streets. We don't have a fancy marketing plan. We just make the food and hope people like it enough to come back. We handle catering for weddings and small parties too, using the space here to prep everything. It is a busy life. Between the snacks and the full meals, there is hardly any downtime. We don't use any polished language to describe what we do. It’s just cooking and serving. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded, and we have to work fast to keep everyone happy. We like being in Bhadvat Nagar because the people are familiar and it feels like a real community. We keep things simple, focusing on the quality of the flour and the spices we use every single day. We don't worry about being the biggest, we just want to get the orders delivered to the customers who need them for their functions.
