Silicon Semiconductor Devices

Our office and small lab are at E 89 in the GIDC Electronics Estate. We deal with semiconductors, which means we spend a lot of time looking at tiny components. The office is basically just one big room with a few desks and a lot of storage shelves. We have been here for a long time, and the building has started to show its age a bit. There are some cracks in the floor and the paint is peeling in the corners. We don't really mind because the work we do is what matters to us. We supply various parts to other companies in the area. It involves a lot of counting and checking lists to make sure we have the right items. We don't have a fancy website or any social media. We mostly just talk to our customers on the phone or when they drop by the shop. It’s a very low-key environment. We don't wear uniforms or have any formal rules. We just show up on time and get through the stack of orders. Sometimes we run out of a particular part and have to wait for a shipment from overseas, which can be frustrating. We just tell the customers the truth and they usually understand. It’s a small, local operation and we like it that way. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or a polished image. We just do the work.
