Krishna Engineers

We’re tucked away in A-35 at Meldi Estate, which is right near the Gota railway crossing. You can always tell when a train is coming because you can hear the signal and the tracks rattling. It’s a part of the background noise for us at Krishna Engineers. The estate itself is full of small workshops and units like ours. We do a lot of general engineering work, mostly fixing things or making small parts that people need. Our space is filled with lathes and tools that have seen a lot of use over the years. It’s not a shiny place; there’s oil on the floor and metal shavings in the corners, but that’s how a workshop should be. We usually start pretty early before it gets too hot in Gota. The guys who work here live nearby, so it’s a bit of a local feel. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone wants to talk to us, they just walk into the shop and find one of us. Sometimes we have to wait at the crossing for a long time if we’re heading out for supplies, but you get used to it after a while. We don't bother with fancy websites or marketing. We just focus on the job we have on the bench that day. It’s a simple life, and as long as the machines are running, we are doing okay.
