Krishna Dairy

Out here on Vahelal Road in Zak Gam, the mornings start way before the sun is up. Krishna Dairy isn't some big factory; it's just our place where the milk comes in and gets moved out. We are located at Plot No. 272/6, and if you know the Dahegam area, you know it's a lot of open space and dusty roads. The cows don't care about weekends or holidays, so we are here every single day. Gandhinagar is a bit of a drive, but we are used to the commute by now. We spend a lot of time cleaning the cans and making sure everything stays cool, which is tough when the Gujarat heat hits in May. There’s always the sound of metal clinking and the smell of fresh hay around. It’s a simple life, mostly just talking to the local farmers and keeping track of the liters. We don't have a fancy office with big chairs. Usually, we just sit on the benches outside when there's a break. Sometimes the rains make the road to Zak Gam a bit messy, but the trucks still manage to get through. We just do what needs to be done to keep things moving. It’s honest work, even if our clothes always smell a bit like the farm at the end of the shift. We just take it one day at a time.
