Jay Viswakarma Engineering Work

Our small workshop is located at Shop No. 14 inside the Dipali Complex. We are situated right near the G-Ward bus stop in the Kubernagar area, so you can hear the big buses pulling in and out of the station all day long. It is a very noisy place to work, mostly because of the different machines we use for our daily tasks. There is usually the constant sound of metal hitting metal or the loud hum of a power drill going off somewhere in the back. We have black grease on our hands most of the time, and the shop floor is never really clean no matter how many times we try to sweep it up. That is just the way engineering work goes when you are busy. We have a lot of different tools hanging up on the walls and various pieces of heavy iron stacked up in the corners. It is definitely not the kind of place where you would want to wear your best clothes if you come to visit us. People bring us all sorts of things that need fixing or specific parts that need to be made from scratch, and we just get to work on them. Sometimes we have to stay and work quite late if a particular job is being stubborn. We don’t have a fancy waiting area for customers, just a couple of old stools if someone wants to stay and watch the progress. We’ve been in this part of Kubernagar for a long time.
