Jay Umiya Watches Company

If you head over to the Manilalnagar Shopping Centre, you can find Jay Umiya Watches Company at unit number 12. We are situated near Dhanjibhi Well, not too far from the Chandlodia Over Bridge. It’s a decent area, though the traffic near the bridge can get a bit much during rush hour. Our shop isn't very large. We have shelves lining the walls and a couple of glass counters that have seen better days. I’ve been working here for years now, mostly just handling the daily repairs and talking to whoever walks in. We don't really bother with big sales or bright posters. People know what we do, and that’s enough for us. The floor is tile and it gets cold in the winter, so we usually wear thick socks. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in just to look at the clocks on the wall. We don’t mind. It’s a community spot as much as it is a business. We open up at ten, usually after I’ve had my breakfast and walked over. It’s a simple routine. We fix what’s broken and try to keep things honest. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we’re always wiping things down. It’s just a regular shop run by regular people who like their work. We’ve been part of Chandlodia for a while and plan to stay.
