Hindalco Industries Limited(Unit:Birla Copper)

Our spot is right in the Birla Copper Township out in Ahmedabad. Being located at E 34/7, we are pretty much in the middle of where everything happens for the unit. It’s a bit of a different feel living and working in a township. You see your coworkers at the grocery store or walking their dogs in the evening. It’s a quiet place compared to the main city center, which is nice when you’ve had a long shift. We handle a lot of the local coordination from this office. Gujarat is a big place for industry, and being here in the 382130 zip code means we are right in the thick of it. The office itself is nothing special to look at. Just a regular building with the usual paperwork and a tea kettle that’s always running. We get the heat here just like anywhere else in the state, so the afternoons can be a bit sluggish. Usually, someone brings in snacks to share around four o'clock. We don't really do big meetings or flashy presentations. It’s mostly just making sure the copper unit is running right and everyone has what they need. It feels like a small village sometimes. Everyone knows everyone’s business, but that’s just how it goes here. We’ve been part of the landscape for a long time, and we just keep plugging away at the daily tasks. It’s a reliable routine that we have all grown very used to.
