Gujarat Council On Science & Technology

Gujarat Council On Science & Technology is located in Block B of the Ms Building. We are up on the 7Th Floor. The building is right near Pathikashram in Sector 11. This is a very typical government-style area in Gandhinagar. Sector 11 is where a lot of the official work happens. Being on the seventh floor gives us a pretty good view of the city trees and the other office blocks nearby. The elevator can be a bit slow sometimes, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is heading out. We work on all sorts of science and technology projects for the state. It’s a lot of paperwork and meetings. The office is full of desks, computers, and stacks of files. It’s not a place where we do experiments; it’s more about the planning and the administration side of things. People from different departments come in to talk about new initiatives. Pathikashram is a very close landmark, so if you tell someone you are near there, they know exactly where to go. The atmosphere is generally quiet compared to a school or a hospital. We have a small tea room where the staff gathers to talk. It’s a very steady, daily routine for us here in Block B. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. It’s just a regular office floor where we try to keep things moving along for the council.
