Darshan Engineering Works (Sarkhej)

Our workshop is located in Sarkhej, right opposite the Vijay Complex. If you are near Azom Mozam Roja, you are basically right there. It’s a noisy place most of the time because we have machines running quite often. Engineering isn't a clean job, so there’s usually some metal scrap or oil around. We’ve been at this spot for a good number of years. It’s just how things are in this part of town. The area around Sarkhej is always moving. We open up early because that’s when the work gets done best before the heat really kicks in. Sometimes a customer comes in with a part that’s completely broken and we have to see if we can fix it. It takes time and patience. We don’t really do fancy talk here. We just look at the metal and do the job. The shop isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend all our hours. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to clean the tools or reorganize the bench. We see a lot of different people coming through, mostly locals who know where to find us. It gets a bit crowded when we have several big projects going at once. We just handle it one thing at a time. That’s the way it goes at Darshan Engineering Works. We just keep our heads down and work.
