Mahak Plastic Industries

Our factory, Mahak Plastic Industries, is situated at Plot No. 1611 in Phase-2 of the G.I.D.C area in Chhatral. It is right off the Kalol-Mehsana Highway, which makes it easy for the trucks to get in and out with the heavy loads. The place is quite industrial, as you would expect for this part of Kalol. It is loud because of the machines running all day long, and it gets pretty dusty around here too. We have got a lot of plastic raw materials stacked up in the yard and inside the main shed. I spend most of my time on the floor checking the production or in the small office trying to keep the ledger updated. We have been here for several years now, just doing our daily shifts and getting the work done. It is not a glamorous job at all. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every single day. The heat near the molding machines is no joke, especially during the summer months when it gets really intense. We do not have any fancy reception area for visitors. If someone comes to see us, they usually just walk through the main gate and find us near the loading dock. We focus on getting the orders out on time so the trucks can head back onto the highway before it gets too dark. It is a lot of physical work and keeping a close eye on the power supply.
