Cambay Spa & Resort Gandhinagar

We are situated right by the Institute of Hotel Management in Gandhinagar. It is the 382421 area for those looking at the postal codes. Being near the school means there is always a lot of activity and people learning the ropes of the hospitality business around us. The resort has a lot of rooms and we keep ourselves busy making sure the spa is ready and the grounds are kept up. It is quite a large property compared to the smaller hotels in the city. We have a lot of guests coming through for events or just to get away for a weekend. The staff here mostly lives nearby in the surrounding areas. We are not always perfect, but we try to fix things quickly when they go wrong. It is a lot of laundry, cleaning, and making sure the kitchen has what it needs for breakfast every morning. The Gujarat sun can be tough on the gardens so the watering takes a long time in the evenings. People come here for the spa mostly, looking to relax for a few hours. We spend our shifts checking people in and out, answering the same questions about directions, and making sure the towels are fresh. It is a lot of walking back and forth across the halls. Gandhinagar is a bit quieter than Ahmedabad, which is nice for a resort. We just keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever shows up. It is a big job keeping this place running.
