Cafe Coffee Day

You can find us right across from the Ramvadi Bus Stop on Isanpur Road. Being so close to the Kalupur Bank means we get a lot of people coming in after they finish their banking errands. We are part of the Purshottumnagar Society neighborhood here. The shop has been in this spot for a bit and we have seen the street change quite a lot over time. People often stop by while they are waiting for their bus because the stop is literally right there. It gets a bit dusty outside sometimes, so we spend a lot of our shift cleaning the glass windows. Inside, it is mostly just people looking at their phones or some students doing some reading. We make sure the coffee stays hot for whoever needs it. It is not the biggest place in Ahmedabad, but it works fine for a quick break. We have a few chairs that have seen better days, but they are still comfortable enough for a short stay. Sometimes the milk delivery is late, and we have to tell people they need to wait ten minutes, which is annoying but that is just life. Most of the folks who come in live right here in the society. They know our names and we know theirs. It feels like a normal part of the day for most of us. We are not trying to be anything fancy. It is just a spot to get a caffeine fix and maybe a sandwich.
