Our work happens at B-130 and 131 in the Electronic Zone of Sector-25. Being Akvalo Laptop Instruments Pvt. Ltd., we deal with a lot of parts and pieces that go into computers. The Electronic Zone is a specific kind of place where everyone is doing something technical. It’s mostly rows of buildings and lots of delivery vans coming in and out. Inside our units, we have benches set up for looking at hardware and testing things. It is often quite dusty because of all the boxes moving around, so we are always cleaning off the desks. We aren't really set up for visitors, so the place looks more like a workshop than a store. There are usually wires and components scattered around while we are in the middle of a job. Lunch is usually eaten at the desk or sometimes we go out to the small stalls near the GIDC gate. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need to see the small parts clearly. We don't have a lot of time for chit-chat during the day because the workload keeps us pretty busy. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking one laptop part after another, but we’ve gotten good at it. The air conditioning hums in the background all day, trying to keep the equipment cool. It’s just a standard work life in a busy industrial sector. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can before the courier arrives.
