Our place, Aakash Cement Articles, is tucked away right behind the Pramukhil Building off the Chiloda Highway. Being so close to the highway means there is always a lot of traffic and noise, but it makes it easy for people to find us. We’ve been in Gandhinagar for quite some time now, just making cement products for the local builders. It’s heavy, messy work, and we’re usually covered in white dust by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom or a bunch of salespeople. Usually, it's just me or one of the boys out in the yard showing people what we have in stock. We make everything from garden ornaments to heavy-duty drain covers. Some days are slow and we just spend time cleaning up the molds, while other days are so busy we can barely keep up with the trucks. We don't use any slick advertising. We just hope that if we make something solid, people will tell their friends. The weather out here can be tough, especially when it’s hot on the pavement. We just drink plenty of water and keep moving. It’s a basic business, nothing too complicated about it. We just mix the cement, let it set, and sell it to whoever needs it. If you’re driving down the highway, just look for the building and turn in behind it. We're usually there from dawn till dusk.
