Gandhidham is a place that never really stops moving because of the port and all the trucks. Our office is at G/24 in Rishabh Corner, Plot Number 93, over in Sector 8. It is a simple office where we handle the logistics and paperwork for moving goods. The walls are mostly bare, except for some calendars and a big map of the Kachchh region. We do not have a fleet of shiny trucks parked outside; we mostly deal with the planning and making sure things get from point A to point B. It is a lot of phone calls and checking on drivers to see where they are on the road. The office can get a bit dusty because of the wind in this part of Gujarat, but that is just how it is here. There are a few of us who sit at the desks all day. We do not have a fancy reception area or anyone to open the door for you. If you come by, you will likely find us drinking tea and looking at shipping schedules. Sector 8 is a good spot for this kind of business because so many other transport companies are nearby. We know the routes and the shortcuts, and we know which roads get bad when it rains. It is not a complicated business, but it keeps us busy from early morning until late at night. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving.
