Parth Roadlines

Parth Roadlines is based out of Maritime House Building in Gandhidham. Our office is number 5, and we are situated in Sector 9. Dealing with roadlines means we are always thinking about trucks and routes across the country. Sector 9 is a good spot for this kind of work because it's right in the heart of the business district. The Maritime House is an older building, but it has a lot of character and many transport companies work out of here. We spend a lot of time sitting at our desks, talking to people on the mobile, and writing down log entries. The work can be a bit repetitive, but it’s what we know. The office is usually a bit dusty because of the wind in Kachchh, but that’s just how it is here. We have a few chairs for visitors and a big map on the wall to help us visualize the trips. Sometimes drivers come in to get their paperwork or to get paid for their last trip. We don't have a big corporate setup; it's just a few of us making sure the trucks stay on the road. It gets very busy towards the end of the month when everyone is trying to finish their deliveries. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now and feel like part of the furniture. We keep a small stove in the corner to make coffee when the days get long.
