Oswal Polymers

Oswal Polymers is situated in the Kandla Special Economic Zone, over in Gandhidham, Kachchh. Specifically, we are at Plot No. 4 11 in Sector II. Being in the SEZ means there are a lot of rules and security gates to go through, but it’s where we have had our setup for a while. The wind blows quite a bit out here across the flat land, and you can smell the salt in the air sometimes. Our building is a big warehouse-style space. We have large machines for the polymer work and a lot of bags of raw material stacked up near the entrance. It’s a very functional space, not designed for visitors or showing off. We spend most of the day checking the temperatures on the equipment and making sure the cycles are running right. It’s repetitive work, but it needs to be done correctly. We have a small break room where we eat our lunch, usually talking about the cricket scores or the local weather. The heat in Kachchh can be really intense during the summer months, so we have some big fans going all the time to keep the air moving. We aren't a fancy outfit with a PR department. We just have a few people who know how to run the machines and keep the place tidy. Most of us live nearby in Gandhidham and have been here for years. It’s a long day, but we are used to it.
