Mukeshkumar Harjivandas Bros has been operating out of Shop No. S-89 for many years. We are right in Vachli Bazar, which is usually a pretty lively spot in Gandhidham. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows each other. Being in Kachchh, the weather can get quite hot during the day, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible for whoever stops by. It’s not a very large space, just enough for what we need to do. Most of our days are spent talking to customers who have been coming to us for a long time. Some are neighbors, and some travel from a bit further out. S-89 is easy to spot once you get into the main part of the bazaar. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. It’s just us doing our thing day in and day out. Sometimes the stock piles up and things get a bit crowded, but we manage. My brothers and I take turns being here. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, with new shops opening and old ones closing down, but we’ve stayed put. If you’re ever near Vachli Bazar, you’ll probably see us there. There’s always something to be done, whether it’s checking the books or moving boxes around. It’s a simple life here in Gandhidham. We like the pace of the bazaar, even when it gets noisy with all the people and the occasional stray animal walking by.
