Mahamaya Salt Works

Our office is in the Swaminarayan Building, right at 10-A in Gandhidham. Kachchh is a big place for salt, so we fit right in here. We handle the paperwork and the logistics from this spot while the actual salt work happens where it needs to. It’s not a very big office, but it gets the job done for Mahamaya Salt Works. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and making sure the loads are moving. Salt is one of those things people don’t think much about until they need it, but it keeps us busy year-round. The weather in Gandhidham can get really hot, so we appreciate having a solid roof over our heads here. Sometimes the files pile up on the desks, especially during the peak seasons when everyone wants their orders at once. We’ve been operating out of this building for a bit now and the neighbors are all local businesses too. It’s a practical setup. We don’t do anything flashy. It’s just about getting the salt from one place to another and making sure the accounts are square. If you come by, you’ll probably see a few of us drinking tea and staring at spreadsheets or logbooks. It’s a simple operation, really. We just know our trade and stay focused on the salt business in this part of the country. That's about it. We just keep things moving every day.
