Jimmy's

Jimmy's is right here in the middle of the Main Market in Gandhidham-kachchh. We’ve been at Shop No. N-8 72 for a while now. Most people know the spot because it’s always busy around here. When you walk in, it's just a regular shop, nothing fancy. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when it's a hectic afternoon. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the summer, so we usually have the fan going full blast. It’s a good place to be though, right in the thick of things where everyone passes by. You see the same faces every morning, people going to work or heading to the other stalls. We spend most of our time just managing what’s on the floor and talking to folks who drop in. Sometimes it's quiet, especially when the heat is really up, but then it picks back up again in the evening. There’s no big corporate office or anything like that behind us. It’s just us here at the counter, day in and day out. We know the neighbors pretty well, the guy who sells tea around the corner and the other shopkeepers. It feels like a small community even though the market is big. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the one everyone recognizes. We’re just trying to do our job and make sure things are handled right. It’s a simple life here in the market.
