Our spot, D J Mickey, is located at SFX 291 in Guru Nagar, which is part of the Khanna Market area in Gandhidham. We are right opposite Adarsh School, so we hear the school bells and the kids shouting during their break times every day. It’s a lively neighborhood to be in. The office is tucked into the market, which means there’s always a bit of a scramble for parking and people moving about with their shopping. We have a small setup here where we keep all our equipment and handle the daily admin stuff. It is definitely not a corporate environment; it’s more like a room filled with cables, speakers, and music gear. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped, especially when we are testing out the sound, but it’s our home base and we like it. Being in Khanna Market puts us right in the middle of things, which is handy for people dropping by. We don't have a big staff or a fancy front desk. Usually, it’s just us figuring out the next gig or fixing a piece of gear that stopped working. We've been in Gandhidham for years and have seen how the town has grown, but Guru Nagar still feels like the same old place to us. We just take things as they come and try to do a decent job for the people who seek us out in this busy market. It is a noisy, messy, but honest way to make a living.
